Policies & Procedures

PAYMENTS

We accept payment three ways. Cash, Square, and PayPal. No checks.

HOLDS

At K's Kustom's we sell on a first come first serve basis. In order to hold a unit, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the cost of the ride-on which can be paid via PayPal or in person. The non-refundable  deposit holds the unit for 3 days, otherwise a $10 a day storage fee will be applied for every unit being  held. The deposit is put towards the purchase price of the ride-on(s) that was(were) chosen by the customer and agreed upon with either Josh or Rachel of K's Kustom's only. If upon arrival you wish to purchase another ride-on our lot, instead of the one(s) the deposit was placed, you may transfer the deposit to the new choice. The deposit is transferable to another ride-on if you decide on a different unit upon pick up. After ten days, if the ride-on has not been picked up, the customer has forfeited their deposit and the unit goes back up for sale and K's Kustom's keeps the deposit. We will make several recorded attempts, via email or text, to reach you to resolve the matter.

K'S KUSTOM'S POLICES

  1. All sales are final.

  2. We offer a First Responded/Military/Senior Discount of 10% off the purchase of a ride-on only. Can not be combined with any other discount or sale. Can not be used on any other service we offer or on purchases of parts and batteries.

  3. We do take certain trade-ins towards the purchase of ride-on's. Brand, model and condition apply. Photos need to be sent. Information such as; Does is it work? Does it come with battery and charger? What voltage is it? 6v, 12v, 24v ect

  4. When purchasing parts, all sales are final, no returns, shipping does include time and materials. Invoices left unpaid for 72 hours are pulled. Any shortage, damage part must be reported within 24 hours.

  5. We ship parts within 24 hours of payment or the shipping is free,unless its a weekend, holiday and weather permitting.

  6. Payments for parts received after 8pm will be processed next business day.

  7. When purchasing any electrical parts from K's Kustom's we do include a 30 day limited warranty. Issues or concerns are to be reported to us asap. We will do our best to work with you in resolving any issue that may have occurred.

  8. Due to the increase of shipping at the USPS we have had to increase our shipping cost also, please be advised.

Service & Repair Procedures

  1. In order for us to provide the best service and quickest turn around time we need to know all prior work that has been done to the unit. We ask that you submit a Service Ticket via our website to provide us with the information.

  2. We charge $35 an hour plus parts to Service and Repair your ride-on. We require a $35 dollar payment to be paid upon dropping off the ride-on. Additional time and parts on hand will be paid upon pick up of unit. All work will be approved by the client before proceeding with service or repair.

  3. If a part is not on hand and needs to be ordered, we require that at 100% of the cost of the parts be paid prior to ordering.

  4. Once Service & Repair is completed the client will be notified. The client then has two days (48 hours) to pay and pick up said ride-on. If the client does not pick up with in the 48 hour window we, K's Kustom's, will charge a $10.00 dollar a day storage fee, which will be added to the total bill and paid for before receiving their ride-on back.

  5. We do not take trade-ins as payment of Service & Repair.

LIMITED WARRANTY INFORMATION

 

At K's Kustoms we include a free 30-day limited warranty on all our ride-ons. We do our own testing to make sure everything is working and ready to go, but sometimes things happen.

  1. Please contact us ASAP when an issue arises with the unit.

  2. You have 3 days to bring the ride-on back to the shop for service and diagnosis. We do not include Mobile Service in our warranty. If you need us to come to you then the Mobile Service Fee must be paid upon arrival.

  3. Upon drop off we will have you explain to us what is happening with the unit, noises it was making, issues with charging, any detail to help us get the problem fixed as quickly as possible.

  4. Our labor is free during the warranty period. Most but not all parts are included in the warranty. We DO NOT cover radios, sounds and any add-ons in any units. Control boards are not covered under the warranty. Units with control boards MUST be kept dry and not get wet at all.

  5. We will fix the ride-on for free 1 time during the warranty period. The warranty covers normal use and does not cover damage by unreasonable use, neglect, accident, abuse, misuse, improper service or other causes not arising out of defects in materials or workmanship. Evidence of any attempt at consumer repair will void this warranty.

  6. We reserve the right to cancel a warranty at any time. Once we have the unit back, we will determine whether the issue is covered.

  7. If you have modified the unit then the warranty is voided.

  8. If you have another technician look at the unit and then call us, the warranty is voided.

  9. If you have a K's Kustom's modified unit you will have limited warranty, as they have limited design capabilities. Any modifications voids factory warranty, if any. To resolve any problems, first instance K's Kustom's Modified Limited Warranty will include first Diagnostic & Service for free, some parts are included. Subsequent issues a fee will apply.

We try to get your unit fixed as soon as possible. If parts must be ordered, please understand that takes time and we will get your unit up and running as soon as possible. K’s Kustom’s Battery Warranty

 

  1. We include a 60-day warranty on the battery with the purchase of a ride-on or the purchase of a battery alone. Failure to follow these instructions may damage your battery and will void your warranty.

  2. During this period, we will replace the battery once if there is a manufacture defect or other issue arises.  

  3. SLA batteries like to be taken care of. Please adhere to the manufactures charging information otherwise the warranty will be voided.

  4. For a full charge, the battery needs to be charged for 16-18 hours.

  5. Every 30 days of non-use that battery needs to be charged.

  6. Whether the battery was drained down or not, the battery needs to be charged.

  7. When the weather gets below 45 degrees the battery cannot be stored outside. Please store it in a location that is warmer than 45 degrees.

  8. For no reason should the battery be charged longer than 30 hours. That will not make the battery last longer, it will hurt the battery.

  9. No tampering with the battery, such as removing the tape as that will void your warranty.

  10. Adults should periodically examine the battery and charger for damage.

  11. Most of our batteries come with an external fuse. If the unit suddenly stops working, please check to see if the fuse is charred or broken. You can find replacement fuses at any automotive store. We recommend a 35-amp fuse. Do not go below 30 or above 40 for safety reasons.

  12. Contact us right away if there is an issue. We require that the battery be brought back to us within 24 hours.  

  13. We reserve the right to cancel the warranty at any time.

LIMITED SERVICE WARRANTY INFORMATION

K'S KUSTOM'S SHIPPING ISSUES AND RETURNS

  1. Once an item is shipped out it is no longer in our control. We ship USPS Priority Mail with an average delivery time of 3-5 days. And Greyhound Package Express for oversized items such as ride-ons with a average delivery of 14 days.

  2. Shipping through the USPS Priority Mail provides tracking and insurance. You are able to see where your part is in transit. And if lost or damaged we are able to file a claim.

  3. Shipping through Greyhound Package Express provides tracking and insurance also.

  4. Please be advised that we do add a surcharge for packaging and travel. If a refund is needed due to lost or damage parts the refund will be what the cost of shipping and part minus our additional fees.

  5. Refunds are not paid until the claim is paid by either the USPS or Greyhound Package Express.

  6. At anytime you are concerned about a part not arriving, please contact us as soon as possible so we may follow up with the shipper and try and resolve the issue in a timely manner.

  7. If a package is returned due to customer error, than the customer is responsible for payment of the item to be reshipped. If the item is returned due to an error on our part then the reship cost will be on K's Kustom's.
